Welcome to isthebest.com — live popularity rankings of anything, decided by votes. By using the site you agree to these terms. They're short because the product is simple.
What the site is (and isn't)
Rankings on isthebest.com are aggregated opinions of voters — nothing more. A #1 spot is not our endorsement, a factual claim, a review, or professional advice of any kind. Positions change as people vote, and we don't guarantee any ranking's accuracy, completeness, or permanence.
Fair voting
- One active vote per person per ranking — you can switch it anytime.
- Automated voting, vote buying, identity farming, or any other attempt to manipulate rankings is prohibited. We use rate limits and server-side verification, and we may remove votes, content, or access when we detect manipulation — including retroactively.
Your content
- You can ask questions and add answers without an account. What you add (topics, places, answers, descriptions) is public.
- You grant us a worldwide, royalty-free license to display, store, and distribute the content you submit as part of operating the site.
- Don't submit content that is unlawful, defamatory, infringing, deceptive, hateful, or spam. Don't add private individuals' personal information. We may edit-merge duplicates, or remove content, at our discretion.
- If you believe content on the site infringes your rights, contact info@isthebest.com and we'll review it promptly.
Third-party links
“Map” links open Google Maps or Apple Maps; other links may leave the site. Third-party services have their own terms, and we're not responsible for them.
The legal part
- The site is provided “as is,” without warranties of any kind, express or implied.
- To the maximum extent permitted by law, isthebest.com and its operators are not liable for indirect, incidental, or consequential damages arising from use of the site, and our total liability for any claim is limited to $100.
- You'll indemnify us against claims arising from content you submit or your misuse of the site.
- These terms are governed by the laws of the State of Texas, USA, without regard to conflict-of-law rules.
- You must be at least 13 years old to use the site.
Changes
We may update these terms as the product evolves; material changes get a new effective date on this page. Continuing to use the site after a change means you accept it. See also our Privacy Policy.
